At the 2009 Magnolia Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Banquet, Mike Holland was named this years Citizen of the Year. Mike Holland and his wife Lori have 2 Children 16 & 19. Mike has been the Superintendent for Magnolia ISD for the last 10 years and has over 30 years of experience in education. In 2002, he received the Superintendent of the Year award for Region VI. He received his Masters of Education Degree from Tarleton State University. Mikes is very active in the Magnolia community and the Chamber. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Chamber and is active in Rotary, Lions Club and is currently the Chairman of Education for the United Way We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Mike for being named the 2009 Citizen of the Year. |

Olde Homestead Properties was named the 2009 Business of the Year at the Magnolia Area Chamber's Annual Banquet. The Banquet was entitled - The Spirit of America - Small Business our Country's Backbone and Olde Homestead Properties is an excellent example. Barbara Gardner and her team have much to be proud of. Congratulations to Olde Homestead Properties of Texas, the 2009 Busines of the Year.
